Legislation

In 2016, the U.S. Congress passed the Bathroom Accessible in Every Situation Act (BABIES Act), which requires baby changing accommodations in both male and female restrooms located in publicly-accessible federal buildings. All states are under the Federal Legislation (BABIES Act).  This ensures that all federal buildings are family-friendly for all caregivers.

Use the below information to better understand how Federal, State and Municipal level legislation may impact you as some states and cities now have requirements beyond just publicly accessible federal buildings.
