Premier shopping destination adds Pluie to offer a safer, healthier, more comfortable guest experience

INDIANAPOLIS – The world’s first and only self-sanitizing diaper changing table is now installed at The Fashion Mall at Keystone. With this install, Indiana’s premier shopping destination becomes the country’s first shopping center to offer Pluie

Indianapolis-based Simon chose to add Pluie’s innovation to improve their guest experience – making it safer, healthier, more comfortable, and more convenient for the young families the mall serves. Pluie’s installations at The Fashion Mall will serve as a pilot program for Simon, with plans to install Pluie in their other retail properties throughout the country.

“We are always looking for ways to improve our guest experience, and we are thrilled to be able to now offer Pluie to the young families we serve at The Fashion Mall,” says Danielle Parker, area director of marketing and business development for Simon. “With two children’s play areas, numerous child-focused retailers, family-friendly dining options, and events like visits from the Easter Bunny, The Fashion Mall is a destination for families in Indiana, and we’re proud to install Pluie changing tables to ensure they feel welcome and comfortable for the duration of their stay with us.”

The Fashion Mall offers Pluie changing stations in both the men’s and women’s restrooms on the second level of the mall near the Children’s Lava Play Area

Pluie is the world’s first and only self-sanitizing diaper changing table for public restrooms, powered by a patented UV-C light system known to kill 99.9% of germs including influenza, e. Coli, and coronavirus. The UV-C light system activates when the table is closed, sanitizing the changing surface in just 60 seconds after each use. Pluie’s breakthrough design is unlike anything the diaper changing table market has ever seen, with other first-to-market features like a retractable safety strap that won’t collect dirt when not in use,  attached diaper bag handle to keep bags and purses from being placed on a contaminated surface, and a plush foam leak-proof cushion. The breakthrough design was named a Fast Company 2021 World Changing Idea and TIME Magazine Best Invention.

“The health and safety of our loved ones is always top of mind, but this pandemic has made it even more so. Parents and caregivers taking their children out in public are looking for clean, safe ways to care for them,” says Pluie founder and CEO Addie Gundry. “Family-friendly destinations are more concerned than ever with the health, safety, and comfort of their guests, and we are thrilled to be partnering with Simon and The Fashion Mall to enhance their guest experience.”

Pluie is committed to Changing the Table™ by making sure all parents and caregivers on the go have a clean, safe and comfortable option in every public restroom. “We’ve all become accustomed to seeing premium touchless hand dryers and self-flush toilets in public restrooms, but when it comes to the diaper changing tables, it’s clearly been an afterthought,” says Gundry, who was inspired to found Pluie after a public parenting nightmare. “I was out to lunch with my 10-month-old son, and he had a diaper blowout in the middle of the restaurant. The changing table in the women’s restroom was dirty and left a lot to be desired, and the men’s room didn’t even have one. I said to my husband, ‘I think we can design a better one’.”

In Central Indiana, Pluie can also be found at Conner Prairie and Cathedral High School’s Innovation Center and will soon be available at The Bridgewater Club, Wright’s 360 Academy, and Prime Smile East.
